BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Following BocaNewsNow.com’s exclusive reporting Thursday on mandatory new parking charges at Royal Palm Place, the management company has decided to stop charging for parking — at least for now.

“We will be temporarily suspending the AirGarage Pay to Park system as we tweak accommodations geared towards customers of all businesses. Our goal is not to cause our valued tenants’ business to suffer,” wrote Jayme Ndeto in an email obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. “In the meantime, we will be working on ONE-hour FREE parking to all customers throughout the plaza. Each retailer will receive a private QR code to validate your customer’s registration for ONE-hour free. Following the one-hour free parking, parking rates will be $2 per hour. Quick and easy contactless payment can be made via the AirGarage app or with a credit/debit card. I will also be working on alternative parking locations for all staff members of the center. 101 Plaza Real South and 315 SE Miner Office Tenants – please contact me directly.”

The email states that the charge will return, and requests that unhappy tenants not discuss the matter with BocaNewsNow.com. Too late, apparently.

“Please note, this is NOT a cancellation. We will be relaunching the system with better communication including the parking policies and instructions for the tenants.I am sure you all are aware that I have been drowning in calls regarding these issues. I have spoken to some, others I have not. Please feel free to email me your questions, concerns, suggestions and comments to review with our team to create an improved system that works for all. Change is never easy but if we work together, this could be beneficial for all.”

The email comes after BocaNewsNow.com — for a second day — received a significant number of complaints from unhappy customers and employees who say the management company is nickel and diming everyone — even requiring workers to pay more than some are making an hour to park for a day.
