TRAFFIC TROUBLE: I-95 Closures Set For Next Several Days In Boca Raton, Delray Beach

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Florida Department of Transportation is warning that I-95 will experience several closures and lane reductions over the next week to ten days. The closures will affect northbound and southbound travel.

Advanced Notice: The northbound express lanes at the Palmetto Park Road egress will be closed to traffic, 10 p.m., Friday night, April 14 until noon, Sunday, April 16 for final paving and tubular marker installation.

Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound between Glades Road and Yamato Road will have the express lanes and two inside general use lanes closed for final paving and tubular marker installation, 11 p.m. Friday night, April 14 until 9 a.m. Saturday, April 15.

Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound between Glades Road and Yamato Road will have the express lanes and one inside general use lane closed for final paving and tubular marker installation, 9 a.m. until 11 p.m., Saturday April 15. Two general use lanes and auxiliary lane will remain open during this operation.

Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound between Glades Road and Yamato Road will have the express lanes and two inside general use lanes closed for final paving and tubular marker installation, 11 p.m., Saturday night, April 15 until noon, Sunday, April 16.

I-95 Southbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Congress Avenue will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 19 for overhead sign structure operations. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue, Congress Avenue and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20 will be used as contingency nights if needed.

I-95 Northbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound lanes at SR-794/Yamato Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday, April 18 to shift all lanes into final configuration. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 northbound exit ramp to SR-794/Yamato Road, Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp Drive, and the I-95/Congress Avenue interchange. The I-95 northbound entrance ramps from Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard will also be closed to traffic during this time. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Wednesday, April 19 will be used as contingency if needed.

I-95 Northbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: All I-95 northbound lanes at SR-808/Glades Road will be closed to traffic overnight, Monday, April 24 for overhead sign structure installation. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. each morning. Traffic will be detoured via the northbound exit ramp to SR-808/Glades Road, US-1/Federal Highway and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Tuesday, April 25 will be used as a contingency night if needed.
