I-95 Boca Raton To Close Monday Night, Remain Closed Until Tuesday Morning Rush

I-95 will be closed for all northbound traffic Monday night. All traffic will be required to exit at Glades Road.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A major I-95 closure will start around 10 p.m. tonight (Monday) and continue until just before rush hour Tuesday morning. The closure — the latest to affect traffic near the Diverging Diamond — will force all northbound traffic off at Glades Road.

Meantime, a southbound closure will force all traffic off of I-95 at Congress. Florida Department of Transportation Workers will be installing new signage. This is the official advisory from FDOT:

I-95 southbound will be closed Monday night, with all traffic being forced off at Congress Avenue in Boca Raton.

“I-95 Northbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 northbound lanes at SR-808/Glades Road will be closed to traffic overnight, Monday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 19 for overhead sign structure installation. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. each morning. Traffic will be detoured via the northbound exit ramp to SR-808/Glades Road, US-1/Federal Highway and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Thursday, April 20 will be used as a contingency night if needed.

I-95 Southbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Congress Avenue will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 19 for overhead sign structure operations. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue, Congress Avenue and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20 will be used as contingency nights if needed.”
