DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A late afternoon shooting in Delray Beach Monday left one teen paralyzed. The Delray Beach Police Department issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com.

Detectives with the Delray Beach Police Department are investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon in the parking lot of an apartment complex. When officers arrived, they located a 16-year old male with gunshot wounds.

Delray Beach Fire Rescue transported the victim to the hospital. The victim is paralyzed from the chest down. The suspect has not been located.

It is believed multiple people saw the shooting. We are urging anyone who witnessed this crime or has information about the shooter to contact Detective Kyle Kinney at (561) 243-7828. You can remain anonymous.
