Two Major I-95 Closures Set For This Week In Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two major I-95 closures will affect traffic this week in and around Boca Raton. While the Diverging Diamond is basically complete, other projects in the same area on I-95 — near Glades Road — continue to cause problems. The following is the official closure announcement from the Florida Department of Transportation:

I-95 Southbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Congress Avenue will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, April 24, Tuesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 27 for overhead sign structure operations. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue, Congress Avenue and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists.

I-95 Southbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Yamato Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, April 26 for overhead sign structure operations. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to SR-794/Yamato Road, Jog Road and SR-808/Glades Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Thursday, April 27 will be used as a contingency night if needed.

Additionally, the I-95 northbound on-ramp from West Bound Glades Road will be closed each night this week while additional work on the ramp is completed.
