BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A registered sexual offender living in Boca Raton is behind bars Wednesday morning after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said he neglected to tell authorities that he changed the name on his drivers license.

Michael Lytle, according to public records, was convicted on a sexual offense back in 2015 in Oregon. Following adjudication of his crime, Lytle moved to Florida, and took up residence in Boca Raton.

While Lytle registered with the State of Florida, as required, earlier this month, he allegedly attempted to change his name on his drivers license — or possibly filed documents that were incorrect. The official charge: “sex offender violation — fail to report driver license (or) official name change.” He was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on April 22nd and remains in custody Wednesday morning.

Lytle, 40, lists 20 Royal Palm Way as his residential address in Boca Raton. He is described by FDLE as 6’1” and 175 pounds.
