BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A suspect who allegedly threatened Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies with two knives Monday morning was shot by deputies. The suspect’s condition was not immediately known.

PBSO tells BocaNewsNow.com that it happened in the area of the International Jeweler’s Exchange near Boynton Beach Blvd. and Military Trail Monday morning.

Police were apparently investigating the report of a burglary or a suspicious person when they encountered the suspect. The suspect allegedly threatened police — deputies shot the suspect to mitigate the threat.

Expect the scene to remain active throughout the morning.
