Major Crash Closes Powerline Road Near Boca Raton

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle has closed Powerline Road between 18th Street and Hillsboro Boulevard as of 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash happened a short time earlier. A vehicle driver was seen near a white car. A yellow tarp over a body was seen feet away.

Authorities are encouraging motorists to seek alternate routes, including Military Trail and Lyons Road. The closure is expected to last several hours.

The accident remains under investigation. it was not immediately clear what happened or if other vehicles were involved.
