BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing a “sudden snatching” charge after he allegedly got into an altercation with a woman — and threatened to shoot her — in the 6800 block of Boca Del Mar Drive.

According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Michael Correa of Town Harbor Boulevard was the man threatening the woman. When the Good Samaritan intervened, Correa allegedly shoved the Good Samaritan across his chest, “snatched his cell phone,” and fled on foot in the Town Harbour apartment complex. The woman was uninjured.

A photo lineup was later constructed and the Good Samaritan identified Michael Correa as the suspect. Correa was arrested and charged with “robbery by sudden snatching.” It is believed that Correa, 30, knew the woman who he allegedly attacked.

Correa was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on May 11th and later released on $3,000 bond. A court date is pending.
