Broward Sheriff’s Office Continues Investigation Into Powerline Road Fatality.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boynton Beach man, according to police, lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a motorcyclist. That motorcyclist is now dead.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says that Roscoe Shannon, 42, of Boynton Beach, was traveling northbound on North Powerline Road in a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado truck when he “failed to maintain control of the vehicle” At the same time, the driver of a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Powerline Road.
“The Chevrolet departed the northbound lanes (and) entered the southbound lanes and struck the motorcycle.” Investigators say that the victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue.

BocaNewsNow.com first reported on the crash moments after it happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday. The investigation continues. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by BSO investigators. Shannon, according to public record, entered a guilty to plea to speeding in December after being stopped by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
In that citation, Shannon was clocked doing 83 in a 55 mile per hour zone on U.S. 441. He paid a fine.
