Arrest Follows Early Morning Stabbing Call To 9-1-1.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A West Boca Raton man is being held on multiple felonies Friday morning after the report of a stabbing early Thursday. While there was no stabbing victim, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Calvin Bennett. He is being held without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail.
The stabbing call, received by dispatchers around 6 a.m. on Thursday, resulted in a large response of paramedics and police to the 22000 block of Seaspray Place in West Boca. Bennett was taken into custody at that time. While there was an alleged victim located, the injuries were not stabbing-related.
Bennett is charged with: burglary — assault or battery; kidnap and/or false imprisonment of an adult; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill; escape — prisoner escape or attempt to escape; battery on an officer or EMT; obstruct police; resist an officer with violence; battery — touch or strike; and probation violation.
Bennett, 29, was officially booked into jail around 1:13 p.m. on Thursday. He remains behind bars as of 6 a.m. Friday.
