BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A homeowner in the 55+ community of Valencia Isles in Boynton Beach is facing a lawsuit that could require him to oust his tenant — a man now serving time in the Palm Beach County Jail. The homeowner, Douglas Blanz, is 76. The tenant, Anthony Fletcher, is 40-years-old.
According to a lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, Fletcher is accused of stalking, harassing, and other “outrageous” behavior within the community. Attorneys seemed to be employing a bit of snark in the complaint seeking injunctive relief. They wrote: “When not otherwise in custody at the Palm Beach County Jail, Defendant FLETCHER is a non-owner occupant permanently residing at the Property.”

The suit makes several allegations against Fletcher, including this: “Most notable is (the alleged victim’s) description of Defendant FLETCHER loudly banging on her front door at around 6:00am, screaming profanities and making an absurd accusation, and then aggressively bumping into (the woman’s) chest. As a result of his actions, Defendant FLETCHER is charged with a Count of 2nd Degree Felony Burglary of a Dwelling, and a 1st Degree Misdemeanor Count of Battery.”
In another case, Fletcher was allegedly threatening on a Pickle Ball court. “The victims describe how, while with fellow residents and friends in the middle of the community Pickle Ball courts, Defendant FLETCHER acted in a deranged and disgusting manner, both by shouting sexual vulgarities at (the victims), and then by pulling out a hammer from his waist and ranting that he was going to kill both her and her husband.”
The suit seeks an order removing Fletcher from Valencia Isles. He is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on $26,000 bond following his arrest on February 23rd.
The house in question is located in the 2400 block of Kea Lani Drive. We note that Mr. Fletcher’s official address, according to the Palm Beach County Jail, is a Delray Beach address and not the Kea Lani Drive address that the lawsuit states. The Valencia Isles HOA is represented by Attorney Stuart Smith of Kaye Bender Rembaum. Read the complete lawsuit here.
