BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The I-95 closures are not over in and around Boca Raton. The latest closure affects northbound traffic and occurs Sunday night. Florida Department of Transportation officials shared the following with BocaNewsNow.com.
I-95 Northbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 northbound lanes at SR-794/Yamato Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday, June 11 for roadway work and a traffic shift to final configuration. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m.Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 northbound exit ramp to SR-794/Yamato Road, Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp Drive, and the I-95 northbound entrance ramp. The I-95 northbound entrance ramps from Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard will also be closed to traffic during this time. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Monday, June 12 will be used as contingency if needed.
Also of note: The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from westbound Glades Road will be closed nightly as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via westbound Glades Road, Jog Road, and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound Glades Road will be closed nightly as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via eastbound Glades Road, N Federal Highway, and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Glades Road will be closed nightly as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via westbound Glades Road, Powerline Road, and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance from eastbound Glades Road will be closed as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via eastbound Glades Road, US-1/Federal Highway and Palmetto Park Road.
