BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Brandon Gutman is facing a slew of horrific charges following his arrest by the Boca Raton Police Department. A police report processed mid-day by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court alleges that Gutman was a “pimp,” provided housing to women who provided sex services to clients in Palm Beach County.

The 16-page arrest report outlines Gutman’s alleged interaction with — and control over — several women who he is accused of pushing into prostitution and, at times, abusing either physically or mentally. From the police report regarding one alleged victim:

“Around the beginning of 2020, during the widespread shutdown of businesses due to the COVID pandemic, Gutman told (victim) to make more money Gutman then showed methods of conducting commercial sex activity online via websites like Eros.com. Based on my training and experience, these websites enable commercial sex workers to post advertisements online and arrange meeting with customers/buyers for the purpose of commercial sex activity. Gutman began to book and arrange transport for to and from these pre-arranged commercial sex meetings.

The prostitution acts occurred either at the buyer’s residence or at local hotels in Palm Beach and Broward counties booked either by Gutman or the buyer. As (the victim) became more accustomed to completing these prostitution dates, Gutman began to allow her to use a vehicle to go to these meetings alone. Gutman always expected to collect proceeds after any prostitution dates. Gutman expected her engage in commercial sexual activity, either by exotic dancing at local adult entertainment clubs or via prostitution, six days a week and he expected her to make between $600 to $1,000 a day. The proceeds from her commercial sexual activity went to Gutman. The funds were paid to Gutman either in cash and/or via peer-to-peer transactions via online providers like Zelle, Cash App, and/or PayPal. If wanted to make purchases utilizing any of earnings, which were being held by Gutman, would have to ask Gutman for permission and request the funds to make the purchase.”

Gutman lives at 310 NE 30th Street in Boca Raton, according to police. This is where he allegedly housed at least some of the victims.

Also from the police report: “Gutman would often refer to (victim) as either his “bottom” or “bottom bitch.” He expected her to continue to recruit women into the operation to further increase Gutman’s profits. Based on my training and experience along with that of members of the PBCHTTF, females working in commercial sex bringing proceeds to their “pimps” are usually placed in a hierarchical structure with one female, typically a trusted and experienced sex worker or associate, at the top of the structure who is often referred to as a “bottom bitch” or “bottom girl.” The “bottom,” “bottom bitch,” or “bottom girl” is often tasked with enforcing the trafficker’s rules, collecting money from other victims, and recruiting additional women into the operation.”

From the arrest report: “On August 5, 2022, members of the FBI and the PBCHTTF conducted a joint human trafficking operation at an undisclosed location within Palm Beach County, Florida. Prior to the operation, law enforcement conducted a search of multiple websites commonly used to facilitate prostitution and found this cellular telephone number was listed on advertisements including an advertisement posted on March 25, 2022, on Eros.com. Based on your Affiant’s training and experience, this website is used by sex workers to advertise their services. During the operation, a PBSO detective operating in an undercover capacity, hereinafter referred to as UC, began communicating with cellular telephone number (XXX) XXX -1584.

The UC established conversation via text with a female, later identified as (victim) discussed pricing for one hour of services and agreed to meet with the UC at the undisclosed location. Records obtained subsequent to a subpoena showed that the cellular telephone number, ending in 1584, was registered to Brandon Gutman. Based on my training and experience along with members of the PBCHITF, pimps and/or human traffickers will often provide women working for them in the commercial sex business with cellphones in order to arrange and coordinate commercial sexual activity as well as communicate with the pimp and/or human trafficker.”
