PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Don’t be concerned if you drive by the Palm Beach County courthouse in West Palm Beach. Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies are using today’s Juneteenth holiday as a day to train inside the building. It’s a full-scale operation, and may look disturbing to those passing by.

From the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office: “PBSO will conduct a full scale training exercise on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, at the Main Courthouse, 205, N. Dixie Highway, WPB. The exercise will be closed to the public and media. The exercise will not have any impact on court or county employees as it is a court holiday.  The public may see emergency vehicles and an increased law enforcement presence as well as traffic redirection in the area for safety purposes. “

The training follows a similar training at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport on Friday evening, and several other training sessions involving military, law enforcement, and other agencies throughout the region.

Today’s training is expected to be compete by 3 p.m. There is no court activity today due to the federal holiday. Operations resume at the courthouse on Tuesday.
