BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Rotelli location at 21747 State Road 7 in Boca Raton must undergo an unannounced follow-up inspection after an inspector from Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation noted that the restaurant doesn’t have a plan to deal with vomit or diarrhea in the location.
Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is the verbatim notations made by an inspector following the inspection on June 12, 2023.
Intermediate – Establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment.Did not observe any vomit/diarrhea cleanup plan. Emailed plan to manager. **Corrective Action Taken**
High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Observed at top refrigeration unit at pizza station Sausage 56F, Ham 59F . Manager iced all products in unit.
Intermediate – No proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses.Did not observe any employee health reporting agreements. Emailed agreement to manager. **Corrective Action Taken**
High Priority – Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Observed license expired 12/1/22. **Admin Complaint**
Basic – Opened employee beverage container in a cold holding unit with food to be served to customers. Observed employee drink in bottom of glass door Reachin Cooler . Employee corrected by segregating drink. **Corrected On-Site**
Basic – Equipment in poor repair. Observed torn gasket on Reachin Cooler on cook line in kitchen towards back door.
Basic – Ceiling/ceiling tiles/vents soiled with accumulated food debris, grease, dust, or mold-like substance. Observed dust on ceiling tiles above triple sink.
Rotelli Boca Raton was not ordered to shut down as a result of the inspection.
