DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that a body found in West Delray Beach on Sunday was a woman — and investigators now have clothing samples as they try to identify the victim.
“Deputies responded to the scene of a deceased female found floating in a canal, in the 5500 block of West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach,” said police. “Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to investigate further. The female was taken to the ME’s office where an autopsy was performed, today, to determine the cause of death. The cause of death is homicide.”
According to police, investigators now know that the unidentified white or Hispanic female was 25 to 40 years of age, had distinct identifiers such as a long sleeve leopard print shirt, long black pants, highlighter yellow finger nails, and pink toe nails. The decedent had brown hair, was 5’7ft and weighed approximately 140-150 Ibs.
