UPDATE FROM BOCA RATON POLICE AT 10:23 p.m: “Update: A person of interest was taken into custody at 900 N Federal Highway. The roadways have reopened and the investigation is ongoing.”
UPDATE: 10:16 p.m. — Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that a son shot his father, then barricaded himself in a building. The son has since been taken into custody and is undergoing a psych evaluation at an area hospital.
UPDATE FROM BOCA RATON POLICE AT 8:19 p.m: “We are conducting a death investigation at 5499 N Federal Highway. One adult male is deceased. The current police activity in the area of 900 N Federal Highway is in reference to the death investigation. We ask the public to avoid that area. Road closures until further notice: SB Federal Highway at Glades Road. NB Federal Highway at NE 8th Street.”
