BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is removing an explosive device from an address in West Boynton Beach as of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

PBSO is responding to a residence in the 4800 block of Boxwood Circle, unincorporated Boynton Beach regarding a small grenade found in the home. PBSO Bomb Squad is in route to investigate further. The Bomb Squad will follow proper protocol to remove the grenade and render it safe. PBSO dispatch received the call at 11:30 am. There is NO immediate threat to the community.

UPDATE: 4:38 p.m., from PBSO — “PBSO Bomb Squad determined that the small grenade was inert. The grenade was removed per proper protocol. PBSO Urges anyone who comes into contact with anything explosive to RETREAT, DO NOT TOUCH and call 911. “
