DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach woman is facing a charge of battery by strangulation after a Ring camera allegedly captured her battering her mother.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in a report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com says that Beth Mitchell of the 14200 block of Campanelli Drive in unincorporated Delray Beach was engaged in a verbal argument with her mother when Mitchell, “sprung out of the chair that she was sitting in and grabbed her mother.”

According to the report, Mitchell let go, then did it again, saying, “this is choking you.” The mother told police that her daughter restricted her airway “for a couple of seconds.”

Police later tracked down Beth Mitchell at her place of work. She told police that her mother attacked her first, but police note that the Ring camera video did not appear to sync up with that version of events.
