BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Bagel Bar at 177 SE Mizner Blvd. in Boca Raton was ordered closed for two days after an inspector with Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation found multiple high priority violations.
The restaurant was ordered closed on July 11th. It was permitted to reopen on July 13th, but not before failing another inspection. Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is the exact language documented by the inspector on July 11th.
High Priority – Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. 5 live roaches found under the front counter cash register, not in the kitchen. All 5 roaches exterminated and the area has been cleaned and sanitized. 3 live roaches found at the back door next to the triple sink in the kitchen. All 3 roaches exterminated and the area has been cleaned and sanitized
High Priority – Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. Smoked salmon stored over cooked meats in the front counter. The smoked salmon was moved to the bottom shelf. **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate – Food manager certification expired.
Boca Bagel Bar was reexamined on July 12th and ordered to remain closed due to these violations:

Intermediate – – From initial inspection : Intermediate – Food manager certification expired. Boca Bagel Bar was inspected again on July 13th and no violations were found. The restaurant was permitted to reopen on July 13th.
