BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman who lives in Century Village Boca Raton allegedly attacked her husband of one year after he refused to buy her a “vape” cartridge. The attack happened on July 17th, following a meal at Benihana’s on Glades Road in Boca Raton. The woman, identified as Tammy Hepp, was allegedly inebriated after drinking at Benihana. The victim, whose name we are not identifying, was not.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office which filed a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. Hepp claimed that her husband attacked her, but police say they found no evidence that her story was accurate. The report says Hepp — whose arrest photo was taken in an area hospital bed for an undisclosed issue — caused the problem and was the aggressor. From the report:

“Contact was made with Tammy Hepp. Mrs. Hepp had a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage emanating from her person, slurred speech, and she could not maintain her balance. Mrs. Hepp stated she was in Benihana with (the victim), and his two children. Mrs. Hepp had a few drinks but could not remember if (the victim) had anything to drink and handed me a receipt to see if (the victim) had any drinks as she paid the tab. Mrs. Hepp then indicated that they left the restaurant and went to WAWA gas station. After they left the gas station, they started arguing, and (the victim) hit her fifteen (15) times on her face and left bicep area, and she put up her right arm to fend off his attack. Mrs. Hepp had no marks on her face, left bicep area or on her right arm. As Mrs. Hepp repeated the story, she stated she attempted to fend off (the victim’s) attack with her left arm. Mrs. Hepp did not have any marks on her left arm. Mrs. Hepp was asked how the food got into the flood compartment of the vehicle, and she stated it must have occurred during the altercation.”

Tammy Hepp, who lives in the Dorset building of Century Village Boca Raton, was taken into custody and released a few hours later on her own recognizance. She is charged with battery. A court date is pending. It’s unclear if a divorce is, as well.
