BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Delray Beach resident Michael Spielberger, already facing multiple charges from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for an incident just a few days ago, was arrested by the Boca Raton Police Department Saturday night on a charge of “Motor Vehicle Violation — Operating Motor Vehicle To Film Race (or) Stunt Competition.” He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail just before midnight and released just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
We don’t know yet where the racing or stunt activity took place, how many other people were involved, or whether police were tipped to something that sounds similar to an “intersection takeover” which is increasingly popular on social media. The affidavit of probable cause continues to be processed Sunday morning. What we do know is that Spielberger was facing multiple charges from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office at the time of his arrest by Boca Raton Police.
According to the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts, Spielberger on Tuesday, July 18th, was cited for driving in a vehicle with a license plate assigned to another car; driving an unregistered vehicle; driving while license is suspended or revoked; driving without insurance; and driving without wearing a seatbelt. Spielberger received tickets for each of these violations but was not jailed.
For the Boca Raton charge, the jail tells BocaNewsNow.com that Spielberger, 24, listed the 14800 block of Enclave Lakes Drive in Delray Beach as his residential address. That’s west of Military Trail and South of Atlantic. A court date has not yet been set. We’ll update our reporting once the arrest report is processed.
