A shooting in Delray Beach left one person dead Friday afternoon.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (1:41 p.m.) — A shooting around 1:30 p.m. on Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach left one person dead. Police are on the scene as of 1:42 p.m.

Sources tell BOCANEWSNOW.com that the shooting was called into Palm Beach County emergency services just before 1:30. First responders determined once on scene that the victim was dead. Neither the age nor sex of the victim was immediately clear. It was also not known immediately whether the shooting was the result of a criminal act or self-inflicted.

The shooting, according to sources, occurred in the area of 189 East Linton Blvd. which is near Federal Highway and Linton.
