PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A shooting victim was found inside a home Tuesday morning by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office after an alleged barricaded man agreed to surrender to police. PBSO issued this advisory around 8:58 a.m. to BOCANEWSNOW.com.
Around 6:18 am, Jupiter Police Department contacted PBSO advising that a woman had been shot, in an apartment, in the 200 block of Mallard Cove Road, unincorporated Jupiter. Upon arrival deputies learned a male was secured inside the residence, in question, with the victim. Contact was made with the male at which time he agreed to surrender.
As deputies entered the residence to render aid, an injured female believed to be suffering from a gunshot wound was located. Fire Rescue personnel arrived, immediately rendered aid and transported the female to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division have arrived and are investigating further. All parties involved have been accounted for and there is NO threat to the public. The motive is unknown at this time.
