BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Deerfield Beach woman was identified Tuesday afternoon as the woman whose body was found in the ocean, off Boca Raton, last week. The Boca Raton Police Department issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
Boca Raton Police have identified 34-year-old Megan Beaudet as the woman found deceased in the Atlantic Ocean last Friday morning, approximately one mile east of 1100 S Ocean Boulevard. Around 9:15 a.m. on August 11, 2023, Boca Raton Police Marine Unit officers were on patrol when they discovered a body floating in the distance.
The body was recovered and the Boca Raton Police Investigative Services Bureau took over the investigation. Beaudet’s vehicle was located near the Pompano Beach Pier where surveillance video shows her walking on the beach around 6:30 p.m.
