Mizner Storall, Mizner Marina Help Boat Owners Combat Tech Theft Which Is On The Rise.

Marshal Sklar owns Mizner Storall and Mizner Marina with locations in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, and Deerfield Beach. He is a local journalism supporter and says there has been a dramatic increase in the number of GPS and other high-cost marine units being stolen from boats — that aren’t secured — in the region. While a multi-county police task force continues to investigate, Sklar says it’s important to keep your boat in a safe, local facility under local management with security measures.

“City boat ramps are often congested and have very limited parking in addition to excessive annual or daily usage fees,” said Sklar. “They’re also inconvenient when you are embarking on a longer trip since you have to pay for hourly parking. We are the first ever to offer both boat storage as well as launch options, including our new state-of-the art Wiggins forklift.”
Sklar notes that his Deerfield location is the first private boat ramp at a marina in Deerfield Beach, and was launched after more than a year of negotiations with local, state, and federal officials.
While the investigation continues into the rising number of boat electronic thefts, Sklar says his facilities are a deterrent to anyone trying to steal what isn’t theirs.
“We are a gated facility with eight-foot walls, high-tech security cameras throughout, and several other security measures that are in place.”
