Boca Raton resident Bruno Ferreira-Azeredo is facing multiple serious charges following his arrest by Florida Highway Patrol early Sunday morning. The 43-year-old, who lists the 6800 block of Town Harbour Blvd. in Boca Raton as his home address, remains in the Palm Beach County Jail as of 9:30 a.m Sunday.

According to jail and other records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Ferreira-Azeredo was stopped by FHP on I-95 Northbound near Congress around 10 p.m. on suspicion of DUI. He was driving a 2010 red Ford pickup truck at the time of the stop. The interaction with police apparently went downhill quickly, with Ferreira-Azeredo now facing the following charges:

Aggravated Battery On An Officer, Firefighter, or EMT; Resisting an Officer With Violence; Intimidation — Threat With Death (or) Serious Bodily Harm Against A Law Enforcement Officer; DUI — Unlawful Blood Alcohol Or Drugs; and Resisting An Officer Without Violence.

Ferreira-Azeredo was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail where he is being held on $3,000 bond for the “resist officer without violence” charge. Bond has not been set for the other charges Sunday morning.
