That’s the takeaway from this parking job at Park Place on Military Trail. It’s unclear how exactly someone finds it difficult to park in one space when there are no other cars and very clear lines on the driveway, but drivers in Boca Raton are very special, often with very special abilities. The driver of the car is today’s “Boca Rudeton” winner.
According to our tipster — and there really doesn’t seem to be any question — the driver of the VW Tiguan with Florida plate AJ38FN was seemingly in “buy one, get one mode,” even though it’s free to park. As is often the case in Boca Raton where more is always more, the driver decided to take two spots. Confused about “Park Place?” You’ve probably been there. This is the shopping center with Prezzo and Fresh Market on Military just south of Clint Moore. It’s rare that lots of spaces are ever available — let alone two in a parallel parking situation. But the driver managed to find them and take them.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can be such assholes. I’m stopping myself here otherwise I’ll write endlessly of the grossest and rudest behaviors I’ve witnessed.

I totally agree. It is incredible how many people in this area are rude and crass with no manners. Either they were never taught manners or they feel so entitled they simply do not bother. I have also noticed the open mouth chewing, smacking gum and constantly interrupting in conversations. Drivers here are impossible. They drive in the left lanes blocking traffic, never use their turn signals and have no clue how to park.

I couldn’t agree more with you Ms.Griscom!! People need to learn the laws re:driving/ parking & that’s just the tip of the iceberg!! Entitlement @ an all time high, complete lack of courtesy & I too can go on & on!! But I’m sure you catch my drift & hopefully others will as well. Remember to always be kind, to everyone!! One truly doesn’t know what another may be going through & a simple act of kindness could possibly change their entire day…. or may be just a moment.
