BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (Updated 5 p.m.) — The National Hurricane Center is watching two systems that could develop into systems of note over the next several days. The yellow oval just off the coast of Florida is likely to develop into something that could affect the Carolinas. It’s too soon to know, but the proximity to the U.S. Mainland is notable. The NHC is also watching that “red oval” just off the coast of Africa. It is expected to become a tropical depression within days. We note that ovals indicate where a system may form, not necessarily a direction of travel.
