BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — All flights from the United States and Canada to Tel Aviv are experiencing major delays as of Saturday afternoon as a result of the unprovoked terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel.
El Al flight 118 departs Miami at 11:39 p.m. Saturday night and is expected to arrive in Tel Aviv at 6:21 p.m. Sunday. While showing “on time” as of late Saturday afternoon, it was unclear if the flight will actually leave as expected. The El Al tracking site is down. There is no arrival time shown for the Miami flight on the Ben Gurion airport arrival board.
As of Saturday afternoon, non-stop flights from Atlanta, Newark, and Toronto are showing delays of nearly twelve hours and growing. Ben Gurion airport is dramatically limiting air traffic in and out of the region as concerns rise over additional attacks from militant extremists.
El Al operates seasonal non-stop flights from Fort Lauderdale to Tel Aviv, but no flights are scheduled for this weekend.
