BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s unclear if a specific incident led to the statement, or if growing concern over pro-Palestinian movements on college campuses is the catalyst, but the Broward School District issued a strongly worded statement Wednesday to parents and students regarding the war in Israel. BocaNewsNow.com is publishing the statement in its entirety.
“As the horrific events unfold in Israel, Broward County Public Schools stands ready to support our students and families in processing the deep emotions being felt by many in our community.
Our District has zero tolerance for hate. Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with their children to help guide them through healthy ways of expressing their feelings. Additionally, parents are encouraged to monitor their children’s social media usage as the images and news of the conflict can be graphic.
Counselors are available on every campus, and the District’s Family Counseling Program is available to provide further assistance to families needing support.
Our priority is the well-being of our students and ensuring conducive and safe learning environment for all.”

When School Broads themselves preach hate what do U expect. When Governor allows Nazis to March all over the State including the Gates to Disney what do U expect

say it again!

Nazis at Disney. Where do people come up with this. This is not the time to play a Democrat or a Republican.
-
NBC Sept 3rd headline, “Neo-Nazi groups spew hate outside Disney World.” People didn’t make it it. It actually happened and made the news. Where have you been?
-
-
What’s wrong with you. Do you even know what a Nazi is. It’s not somebody you disagree with.
-
-
Maybe we should break the chain of hatred by not calling people who you disagree with, with labels like Nazi’s.
We should encourage intelligent debate and look at the root causes of what forces are at work to create this kill or be killed approach to solving our differences.
Our only hope is understanding based on facts and critical thinking instead of mindless name calling and hate mongering.
My hope, as always, will be that the appropriate debate is followed by efforts to attain peace in the region.
We should never give up on that. My prayers are with all the victims of this tragedy.

Thank you Richard for your inteligent and mature comment. It’s a breath of fresh air.

While I agree with Richard —schools no longer truly teach critical thinking skills….

When people carry Nazi flags, they’re Nazis or embracing the philosophy!
-
Yes, but apparently carrying the American flag, unless you’re burning it, is also deemed Neo-Nazism by deranged far-left lunatics.
-
I mean it was actual neo-nazi and nazi paraphernalia so you have to call it how you see it.

Sorry Richard, if it quacks like a duck, has feathers like a duck and looks like a duck, odds are…it is a duck. These folks who look like Nazi’s, march like Nazi’s and spew their hatred like Nazi’s…again, odds are that they are Nazi’s. Let’s not sugar coat this and just call them what they are, o k? This is not the time to be politically correct, one must out the evil in our world for what they are and show them that we will not allow their hatred to poison our lives!
It’s folks like Richard who calmly sat back while Germany morphed into the hell that it became in the late 1930’s and early 1940’s. They all insisted they had no idea what was going on to their neighbors who just disappeared one day, never to be seen again. And that made them complicit no matter how one tries to deny it. But no more, we will call out these folks for who they truly are, be it Nazi or whatever. I will not stand by and be complicit like so many others seem to want to be here. The time for this nonsense to stop is NOW!!!

Richard, I’m sorry, but the term Donald used (Nazi) is appropriate. The groups protesting throughout Florida over the past few months literally say they are Nazis. If they self-identify as Nazis, we should not call them anything but what they aspire to be—nazi, hateful, bigots. Let’s not gloss over the truth or coddle these groups.
-
Except the hardcore left has been calling anybody Nazis with an ideology to the right of Bernie Sanders within the last ten years. This is intentional, to harbor divisiveness and blur the difference between legitimate bigotry versus simply disagreeing. Meanwhile, CNN called anarchists “peaceful protesters” during the summer of 2020.
The irony here is when hardcore leftists are calling pro-Israel folks “Nazis.”

Concerned, your posts are ridiculous at best and just shows how much of a right winger you truly are. Hiding behind that name also shows that you’re scared to use your name for some reason, which just makes whatever you spout less believable. Seems to me, all you seem to care about is calling others names and starting some kind of trouble when we all should be looking to calm the current situation.
If you have nothing helpful to say, best to say nothing at all. Your instigating isn’t helping matters one bit, but I’m betting you already know this. Just knock it off already because it just makes each post you write that much more laughable!

We need to stop the push of identity politics! Identity politics forces people to “group think” and “group action” often which is not personally beneficial. It drives a wedge between people that have more in common than they actually realize! We should all be able to identify evil when it rears its ugly head.

the attack by terrorists on israel is akin to pearl harbor or oklahoma city bombing or 9/11. the attack against women and children is uncalled for and barbaric like the russian illegal war against ukraine is also heinous but the loss of civilian lives in gaza is not a good thing but they harbor and celebrate hamas and terror. without israel palestinians would surely flounder and become just another terror state like iran and syria.these students on college campuses were not even alive during the yom kippur war in 73 and have no idea of the hate that surrounds israel as the only democracy in the middle east. they should read the history like the fact that jordan threw the palestinians out thats how they ended up in gaza and the west bank. TERROR cannot be allowed to win. like hitler and the nazis terrorists must be extinguished

Kenneth,
I absolutely 100% agree with you. There is no such thing as Palestinian…they were kicked out
of Jordan. In biblical terms the name Palestine evolved from Philistines who took over
Canaan which to this day is Eretz Israel. BARUCH HASHEM…PRAYERS FOR ISRAEL

As a 3rd generation Jew in the US with a Masters in Holocaust scholarship I’m well familiar with the US politicians and party that has, for many decades, supported Israel, condemned antisemitism and supported peace through diplomacy and humanitarian efforts. The astonishing part is that these so called pro Palestinian ‘human rights’ seekers cannot articulate the history of the conflict. Activism and me tooism vs scholarship or even basic knowledge of the events and geopolitical history. This doesn’t stop them from feigned and/or misguided outrage, vacuous platitudes and linguistic calisthenics in a painful attempt to make a moral equivalency.
They don’t educate themselves because they don’t want to know what actually happened. I’m sad for the Palestinian people who have been used as pawns by these terrorists for decades. They’d blow them up just as they’d blow up the American ninnies in Times Square who were celebrating the attack. -
“Philistines” and “Palestinians” are completely different. The Romans named the area “Syria Palaestina” to punish the Jews after the Bar Kokhba revolt. However, modern-day Palestinians come various backgrounds, predominantly Muslim, but also Christian and likely even native Mizrahi Jews who converted following Mohammedan conquest. Biblical prophecies are a moot point, and half the Jewish population of the world comes from Mongolia. But that being said, it does not de-legitimize any claim the Jewish people have over Israel, the founding of which was came from World War II, and they have the right to move and live there peacefully without Islamist aggression or Western meddling that has kicked the can down the road for over fifty years.

I wouldn’t trust my child talking to any counselor of any school district. What are the counselor’s views? Parents need to address these horrific views at home.
God bless the Israeli people. -
“Useful idiots,” are what what their Marxist heroes called them, and it was all part of the plan since the Suez Crisis, with the Soviet Union canoodling with Egypt to nationalize the Suez Canal against NATO interests.

Time after time, in order to have peace, Israel has made compromises and ceded territory. Seventeen years ago Israel turned Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority. However, the people of Gaza turned against the PA and opted for Hamas which then used the same citizens as human shields as they unleashed four subsequent battles against Israel. Hamas is dedicated to one objective, the elimination of a Jewish nation called Israel. This current war clearly demonstrates who Israel is dealing; modern days Nazis, and it is most appropriate to use the term Nazi, as they have dragged innocent citizens of all ages and health conditions out of their home and either shoot them in front of their children before killing them or even more brutal forced parents to witness the cutting off the heads of their children and then taking their cell phones and using the names of friends and family they found on them sent photos of their slaughtered loved ones. If anyone has a neighbor who was such a danger to the life of you and your family would you have any compassion for their plight if they would physically attack and slaughter members of your family? This is the reality that Israel has faced for 75 years…the destruction of Israel and slaughter of its citizens.

Thoughtful communication.

Why didn’t the Broward school district condemn the atrocities committed on the defenseless Israeli citizens and especially the children. Instead they just tell everyone to process their emotions and to keep your children away from the news and the graphic pictures. Well I do not want to just process my emotions. And my kids need to see and hear exactly what these reprehensible lowlife excuse for human beings are doing. I’m sick and tired of people making excuses for the barbaric acts that these animals commit. Israel turned what was once just a piece of desert that people lived in tents on, into a thriving country that they are willing to share with Muslims and Christian’s alike. But the radical Palestinian terrorists (Hamas) who now control the area that was given to their people, only want to continue their barbaric ways of torture, rape, and death, just as they did in Jordan before they were kicked out. They are like a rabid animal that needs to be put down now before their disease spreads any further!

The hate that I witness in the comments from particular people really show how much hate is in their hearts. To compare human beings in Gaza to animals seems like such a hateful and shameful thing to say especially when you look at the news online. Particular humanitarian groups are showing what’s happening on the Gaza side and all I see are babies and regular people who had hopes and dreams in what are now lifeless bodies. It disgusts me what happens on either side, Israel or in Gaza. But to consistently compare normal human beings to animals and nazis is a whole other level of serious hate. You sound just like Benjamin Netanyahu when you speak and it shows where you get your education from. History or not – it’s absolutely wrong to kill innocent beings. You mention how the people of Palestine celebrate the death and killing of innocent lives; but, this is absolutely not factual. Impossible to say that a whole population of 2 million people celebrate the death of Jewish people. Theres so much wrong with that statement. What I do see, particularly on humanitarian pages like Marc Lamont hill and Khalef beydoun (international law expert) pages are ISRAELI CITIZENS peeing on the dead bodies of Palestinians. To hold such a hate in your heart against a race of people is actually saddening and the true colors of people are starting to show. Like the Canadian Jewish author who spoke out to the Tunisian lady and told her that she should be raped in front of her kids and dragged out in front of everyone. What kind of inhumane response is that to someone waving the Palestinian flag in representation of their belief that their families deserve peace and basic rights as human beings. It’s absolutely sickening to know that there’s a real production of false news, such as babies being beheaded (which the White House literally JUST retracted their statement for). Biden now says he DID NOT SEE pictures of what he said he saw. All in the name of adding fuel to the fire of hatred towards the regular people in Gaza (and I say regular people because they are). Hamas is disgusting. There are regular resistance fighters there who are fighting just so they don’t get ejected from their home. It’s understandable that it’s supposed to now be the home of the Jewish people – but understand that the movement of establishing an Israeli state is displacing regular humans and stripping them of their dignity. So nasty to automatically affiliate all regular citizens of Gaza to animals and to blame it on the fact that there were music festival casualties which we should all condemn. But make no mistake when I say that was just a reason to wipe Gaza out altogether which I still see no justifiable reason to displace and anticipate the killing of over 2 million people. I’m absolutely ashamed of the stupidity of our president for making false claims and leading people to add hate in their hearts for nothing.
Do better and understand that people are dying as we speak. Jewish people are dying. Palestinian people are dying. I know as a human with very little Neanderthal in me that I’m feeling sympathy because of exactly that – the human part of me which seems to be lacking in some people these days.
-
In your post you write, “Jewish people are dying…”. Shouldn’t that be “Israeli people are dying” because not everybody who lives in Israel is Jewish last I looked. Let’s be genuine here when we describe people because when you lump all people who live in Israel as “Jewish”, that’s just not true. And it sets a negative tone for many haters when they see such words. And you know exactly which haters I mean.
The folks in that region have got to learn how to co-exist together, and that’s the bottom line here. The Arab countries have so much available land and Israel has so little that there has to be a way to give each side their own homeland. And it’s not always Israel that should be made to be the ones to give up territory when the Arab world has so much. Hamas doesn’t do itself any favors when it attacks innocent people in such a cowardly way & they need to stop acting like savages if they want respect from the rest of the world going forward. They have been the aggressors for the most part as they refuse to live together as one.
The rest of the world knows the truth & the time has come for peace at all costs or else we will all be doomed!-
Well, they were already “co-existing” before that British mandate. There were 3 religions within that region that existed in peace (more or less). But after the British mandate and israel’s establishment of their cities, the Arabs do not have the same rights that the Israelis do (even within those Israeli cities) and this is factual. According to the Council of Foreign Relations, “Today, nearly all Arab towns and cities have lower standards of living than those that are predominantly Jewish. This separation and socioeconomic disparity fuel intense debate. Some analysts argue that Israel has effectively established an unjust, segregated society.”
With your suggestion, the Palestinians should give up more of their land so that the Israeli laws can continuously oppress them even further? I believe this is the reason that there’s such an issue in that region. You have Israelis with the most power that say they’re the only democracy yet there’s a systematic oppression of the Palestinians solely based on their race. The Palestinians are a people of dignity. They will not just give up their land so that they can be systematically pushed into a horrible way of life.
