UPDATE: 2:21 p.m. — BSO’s Real Time Crime Center is second to none. Just 20 minutes after the bomb threat was received, a man has reportedly been taken into custody in another jurisdiction. No devices have been found at FLL. Operations are returning to normal.
BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A bomb threat is being investigated at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport as of 2:09 p.m. Saturday.
It was not immediately clear what terminal was targeted with the threat, or whether any flights have been affected. We are awaiting word from FLL regarding possible evacuations.
Expect traffic issues in the area. The Broward Sheriff’s Office traditionally closes roads at the airport when a threat is received. That means no traffic in or out of either the upper level, the lower level, or both.
Check back for updates.
