BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Evan Hole is five charges after he was allegedly found sleeping — in his car — on Glades Road. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of October 11th, 2023. The police report was just provided to BocaNewsNow.com. The following is part of the narrative:

“On 10/10/2023, 2323 hours, I was dispatched as a backup officer to an unconscious subject at 1800 W Glades Rd. Upon my arrival, several other officers were already on the scene and the subject later identified as Evan Hole was sitting in the driver’s seat. I spoke with Officer Owirka who explained that upon his arrival he located Evan asleep in the driver’s seat in the middle of the roadway. Officer Owirka expressed his concern that Even was intoxicated due to how lethargic he appeared. Officer Owirka advised that when he asked Evan for his driver’s license, Evan provided a Colorado license and indicated he did not have a FL DL. A record check on Evan revealed a suspended FL DL for DUI.

I walked up to Evan and introduced myself. I began to ask Evan simple questions as to where he was and where he was going. Evan was able to state he was “driving from his girlfriends”, however, when I asked for the route he took, Evan struggled to respond.

Evan advised he lived in Boca, however, was unable to tell me exactly where he was in Boca or what direction he would take to get home. In speaking with Evan, I noticed he was extremely lethargic and struggled to answer questions. Evan’s eyes were glassy and as he spoke, he would stare off into the distance. Due to the numerous post-stop indicators, I requested Evan participate in Field Sobriety Exercises (FSE) to which he complied.

Evan was transported to the BRPD DUI room. Officer Ricciardi conducted the 20-minute observation and operated the Intoxilyzer. When asked to provide a breath sample Evan advised he wanted an attorney present. I explained to Evan that he does not have to ability to have an attorney present at this point and read him his Implied Consent Warnings at 0032 hours. Evan continued to argue, demanding I explain the inner workings of the Intoxilyzer.

I asked Evan multiple times to provide a sample and waited for the entire sample collection period. Reference Intoxilyzer results were (Refused). I asked Evan if he would sign for his criminal citation to which he responded that he won’t sign anything without an attorney. I explained to Evan the purpose of his signature and it was not an admission of guilt along with the consequences of his failure to sign. Evan continued to argue and ultimately refused to sign. Evan was transported to Palm Beach County Jail.”

Hole is officially charged with “DUI unlawful blood alcohol,” “DUI — unlawful blood alcohol, refusal to submit to DUI testing,” “Resist office, refuse to accept, sign citation, or post bond,” “Moving traffic violation — drive while license suspended,” “Moving vehicle violation, drive with license from another state when Florida license is suspended.”

Hole was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 3:01 a.m. on October 11th. He was released at 8:38 the same day. Hole, 33, lists the 3700 block of NW 28th Avenue in Boca Raton as his home address.
