DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A boil water advisory is in effect for part of the City of Delray Beach. Note that if your address is Delray Beach but west of roughly Military Trail, you live in unincorporated Palm Beach County and NOT the City of Delray Beach.

This advisory was issued by city officials late Monday:

“A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all properties from East Atlantic Ave. to George Bush Blvd., and from the Intracoastal to N. Ocean Blvd. Please see below for details:

At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, October 23, 2023, a Florida Power & Light subcontractor mistakenly damaged a city water main located near Andrews Ave. and Harbor Drive Crews have completed repairs to the water main A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all properties from East Atlantic Ave. to George Bush Blvd., and from the Intracoastal to N. Ocean Blvd. The precautionary boil water notice, for the affected areas, will remain in effect until testing is complete and a rescission notice is issued. If residents have questions, they may call 561-243-7312.”
