PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A body found in a car at the Tri-Rail Station in Lake Worth is leading to an investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Inexplicably, the family of the dead woman has invoked “Marsy’s Law,” a Florida law designed to protect victims. By invoking the law, PBSO can’t release the name of the victim, which means anyone who may have seen something now won’t know that they saw something — making it more unlikely that someone will say something. PBSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com Wednesday afternoon:
“On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 10:00 am, PBSO Special Investigations Division began an investigation into a missing adult female. During the course of the investigation, detectives suspected foul play and contacted the VCD Homicide Unit to assist further.
Further investigation led detectives to Lake Worth Tri-Rail Station where a parked vehicle was located with a deceased female inside. VCD Detectives are investigating this death as a homicide. The family of the deceased female has invoked Marsy’s Law.”
