PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach woman was struck by a newspaper delivery SUV and killed in West Palm Beach. The incident occurred on November 1st. The fatality was reported on November 4th.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Genevieve Marie Reed, 51, was crossing the roadway on Lake Carol Drive in West Palm around 8:30 a.m. when she was hit by a Nissan Pathfinder driven by a West Palm Beach man. According to police, “the Pathfinder was traveling east on Lake Carol Drive, in the westbound lane, while delivering newspapers. Reed was crossing the roadway.”

Police add: “The front of the Pathfinder struck Reed. Reed was propelled to the ground where she struck her head. The Pathfinder was brought to an immediate controlled stop. Reed came to rest approximately five feet in front of the Pathfinder.”

Reed was transported to an area hospital where she died on November 4th. PBSO released details of the death on Monday, November 6th. No charges have been filed.
