WELLINGTON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Wellington man is facing a DUI Manslaughter charge after a fiery, fatal crash in March. The crash occurred in the area of Greenview Shores Blvd. at the Greenview Shoppes of Wellington.

The crash occurred on March 9th. PBSO says Gabriel Glushien of Beacon Circle in Wellington was traveling northbound on Greenview Shores Blvd. within the inside lane of travel at a high rate of speed. Glushien was driving a 2012 BMW M5.

At the same time, Aristide Guerra, in a 2014 Jeep, was traveling southbound on Greenview Shores Blvd. in the left lane in order to turn left into the Greenview Shoppes At Wellington. As Guerra began to make the left turn, police say Glushien “violently struck the passenger side” of the Jeep. As the Jeep rotated and rolled over, it became engulfed in flames with Guerra trapped inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The alleged blood alcohol content of Glushien was not available early Wednesday morning. Fatal crash investigations traditionally take up to a year to complete. Glushien was arrested and booked into jail late Tuesday.
