BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing a charge of battery on a person 65 years of age or older after she allegedly fought with the woman over the thermostat in the hallway.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies were called to the 8600 block of Eagle Run Drive in unincorporated Boca Raton after the alleged victim said that Breiland Breeze Springer tried to “rip my face off” as the victim was apparently trying to change the temperature of the thermostat in the hallway of the home they share. It was not immediately clear if the alleged victim wanted the temperature to be warmer or cooler.

Police spoke with Breiland Springer who denied that the incident ever occurred. However, wrote the arresting Deputy: “Based on my investigation and the Victim’s statements, Probable Cause exists for the arrest of Breiland Springer who did actually and intentionally, against the will of (the victim), a person over the age of 65, touch and strike (her), causing bodily harm to her, contrary to Florida Statute.”

Springer was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 9:15 p.m. on November 2nd and released on her own recognizance around 11 a.m. on November 6th.
