BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Saturday crackdown on Motorcyclists in Palm Beach County led to a significant number of tickets and citations, and even an arrest.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says the motorcycle safety enforcement operation led to one felony arrest, 20 criminal citations, 65 traffic citations, and 36 traffic warnings.

“The purpose of this operation,” said PBSO, “was to educate the public about the dangers of unsafe motorcycle operation and conduct high visibility, zero-tolerance enforcement for any motorcycle or scooter violations, including but not limited to speeding & aggressive driving, driving under the influence, passing within occupied lanes, operating a motorcycle without an endorsement, helmet laws, no eye protection laws, and motorcycle equipment violations.”

The operation was only in effect between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., meaning it was a highly successful operation based on the number of citations issued.
