Palm Beach County’s Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) announces the availability of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Purchase Assistance Program funds.
Funding will provide up to $100,000 to assist income eligible applicants with acquiring their first home (including acquisition, acquisition/rehabilitation, new construction, down payment and closing costs) that will be used as their principal place of residence.

The online application portal will open on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and close on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (or until 100 applications have been submitted. Once 100 applications have been received, the portal will close). Applications must be submitted online, and will be processed on a first submitted, first qualified, first served basis, subject to funding availability. Eligible applicants can apply by visiting the website at https://pbcgov.com/HED. NOTE: Additional program information and required documents needed are also located on the website.
MANDATORY: Before submitting an application, ALL applicants are required to register to attend one of the virtual mandatory orientations listed below (NOTE: Only 100 seats per orientation is available):
- Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7:30 a.m.
- Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
