BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Bruce Springsteen’s famous drummer — Max Weinberg — is suing a Boca Raton auto-restoration “company” that claimed it would restore a 1957 Mercedes Benz that Weinberg planned to purchase into a “work of art.” The art, as it turned out, wasn’t the sort of art that world-renowned musical artist wanted.

Weinberg, who lives in Delray Beach, is now suing Arthur Siegle, Arlene Siegle, Karen Siegle, and Stuart Siegle who allegedly operate as “Investment Automotive Group” on Water Circle in Boca Raton. The suit seeks to recover $125,000 that Weinberg allegedly paid for the vehicle and its restoration. We note that the last From the suit:

“STUART met with MAX in Boca Raton, Florida on or about March 15, 2021, to discuss the restoration and build of the Vehicle. At that time, STUART represented that the Vehicle would be a “work of art” and the finest of 190SLs, and that the Vehicle would be rebuilt and restored as a “number 1” car in accordance with Concours quantifable judging standards applicable to vintage Mercedes Benz vehicles. ARTHUR SIEGEL (hereinafter referred to as “ARTHUR”) is STUART’S son and sent text messages to MAX on April 1,2021, promoting the transaction and claiming that the Vehicle will be one of the finest 190’s anywhere. ARTHUR sent three additional text messages to MAX to promote the transaction.

The purchase price, which included the vehicle and its restoration, was negotiated at $225,000.00, and a contract was signed on April 9, 2021, in Boca Raton, Florida. See Exhibit 1. On April 9, 2021, and MAX provided STUART a personal check during a meeting at a restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida, in the amount of $50,000.00, which was subsequently deposited and thereafter the proceeds were used by all Defendants, as more fully alleged herein.

STUART met again with MAX in Boca Raton, Florida on April 17, 2021, and MAX provided STUART a check in the amount of $75,000.00 which was subsequently deposited and used by all Defendants. A total of $125,000.00 was provided by MAX to Defendants as of April 17, 2021. On May 6, 2021, MAX sent STUART an email expressing concerns over the quality of the restoration of the vehicle, and requested an independent inspection of the vehicle.”
