BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Canyon Trails Homeowners Association in Boynton Beach is the latest South Florida HOA to sue a homeowner over unpaid fees, reminding homeowners that if you live in a community with an association, paying dues and fees is not optional.
The complaint, obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, alleges that Josue Fredeling and Adrienne Fredeling haven’t paid quarterly assessments since July of 2022. The total due as of August 3rd, 2023: $5,035.45. That includes admin fees, late fees, and attorney fees. The Canyon Trails Homeowners Association is now suing — placing a lien of foreclosure on their home.
The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser database shows that Josue and Adrienne Fredeling own a home at 8255 Serena Creek Avenue in Boynton Beach. They purchased it in September of 2012 for $413,192. The home’s total market value is now $720,968.
The Canyon Trails Homeowners Association is represented by the law firm of Poliakoff Backer in Boca Raton. No response to the suit was filed immediately by the defendants.
