DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Delray Beach senior living community of Kings Point just broke its 2022 record by sending its 22nd resident to jail during the 2023 calendar year. BocaNewsNow.com believes Kings Point sends more people to jail than any other senior living community in South Palm Beach County.
The latest resident behind bars is Michael Gold, 75. He is charged with possessing cocaine and possessing drug equipment. He was convicted of a similar offense back in 2021, according to the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts. It was not immediately clear where Gold was arrested this time. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Monday, and remained held on $3000 bond early Tuesday morning.
Gold joins a long list of Kings Point Delray Beach residents who have spent time in the Palm Beach County Jail during 2023. Among them: residents accused of drug dealing, drunk driving, sex offenses, battery, a man who allegedly shot at someone for walking their dog on a golf course, a woman who resisted arrest, and more. While Gold is the 22nd arrest of a Kings Point resident during the 2023 calendar year, he is also the 43rd arrest since the start of 2022. There is no other community in South Palm Beach County — senior living or other — that we believe has sent 43 people to jail in 24 months.

Kings point has 12000 residents. Of course some will be arrested.
