BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A water main break in West Boca is causing traffic issues, and will continue to create problems through Friday. Palm Beach County issued this statement late Tuesday afternoon to BocaNewsNow.com.
Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) is working on a necessary repair to a water main in the vicinity of the intersection of US Highway 441/ State Rd. 7 and Spanish Isles Dr. in Boca Raton.
The repair work began Tuesday December 12, 2023, and requires the closure of the western-most southbound lane of US-441/ State Rd. 7 near the intersection with Boca Vista Dr. to the west, opposite of Spanish Isles Dr.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic as needed. PBCWUD expects work to be ongoing for this repair during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through Friday, December 22, 2023 and is urging commuters to plan accordingly.
