The safety of our community and schools remains our top priority. On a daily basis, we have approximately 50 officers from multiple specialized units who are assigned to patrol areas around schools during dismissal. In this incident, we did have two patrol officers around North Community Park during dismissal time. This continues to be an ongoing investigation where additional arrests may be forthcoming.

      1. Sadly, the scenario you described still might happen, especially if any of these d-bags are actually convicted. The unholy trinity of Antifa, BLM and Biden will descend upon Florida like a plague. It will be nonstop speeches about how these fine young men, future doctors no doubt, are really the victims, due to white supremacy.

    1. I’d think that the kids of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas have seen enough violence. Don’t they have any teachers that go into the parking lot make sure the kids get home safely? It’s a shame that 4 kids had to attack a little boy the way they did. I’m so glad I never had kids to worry about going to school. There was a lot of violence during Mr 9th grade. I hate to say this, but it was mostly black going after the whites. It was the first yr of buying and things were tense. As a matter of fact, my mom kept me home the last week of school. I sure hope this little boy pulls through. As for the attackers, they deserve whatever is going to happen to them.

    2. If white boys beat down a black boy, you know or should know that the beat down would have been reported as a possible racist attack. It is important to know who and what is going on in the community. it’s too bad that you did not want the full details of the whole story of this serious and life threatening assault. Let’s us agree that this assault should never have happened.

  1. I wonder why the headline couldn’t have just reported that students had been arrested. Naming victims or perpetrators as black, white, Christian, Muslims or Jewish promotes prejudices. Very disappointing that you choose that headline.

  2. Rosie—It also informs the public as to what really happened. I would be disappointed if the truth was withheld. It is truly SAD that you have absolutely no concern for the victim. That is what is Obvious.
