BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A resident of Century Village — the senior living community in Boca Raton — was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office early Wednesday morning and charged with DUI. Christina Alonge, 64, is on the younger side of those who call Century Village home.
According to a citation reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Alonge was driving on Paradise Bay Drive in the community of Lotus when she was stopped by a deputy. The affidavit of probable cause has not yet been processed. It’s unclear if Alonge was driving on Lyons Road and turned onto Paradise Bay when she saw police behind her, or if she was actually in the Lotus community. We do note that the citation states the location of the stop was “300 feet east of Lyons Road.”
Alonge, according to the citation, refused to take a breathalyzer test. That’s an automatic license suspension and possible revocation. It was not immediately known what led to the stop. We will update once the full arrest report is released.
Christina Alonge was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 12:48 a.m. and later released on her own recognizance. A court date is pending. This is Alonge’s first criminal traffic violation in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
