This woman apparently doesn’t realize she’s breaking the law, and violating Publix policy, by bringing her pooch with her into Publix. Welcome to Boca Rudeton for Sunday, December 24th, 2023.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There are few things better in the world than holiday time in Boca Raton. Where else do you get a wonderful mix of out-of-towners, like from New York and Canada, all preying on South Palm Beach County as if they own it. Many of these visitors apparently are unfamiliar with the new rules put into place by Publix which decided to follow state and federal laws by officially banning pets. Among them, it seems the woman dressed for a blizzard, above. No one who lives here would wear a winter scarf and a sun hat. The woman was documented by a BocaNewsNow.com tipster a few days ago.

Publix No Pet Signs
Here are the words some people apparently have a problem comprehending in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach: NO PETS ALLOWED in Publix.

For those tuning in late, your pets are not welcome in Florida stores where food is sold, or in restaurants. It’s not that local merchants are being mean. It’s that they’re following state and federal laws that are calling shenanigans on the fake “emotional support dog” industry which has led people to believe that ESA’s are legitimate service animals. They’re not. They’re pets. That’s why Publix, deciding that it no longer wanted to be a dog park, erected signs like the one you see above in stores statewide. We don’t know if the woman violating the rule is a local or a visitor, but we do know she may have a reading problem. The signs couldn’t be any bigger.

Lady with dog in your shopping cart at the Publix in the Garden Shops at 7060 West Palmetto Park Road: you are our latest winner of the coveted “Boca Rudeton” award. If we gave out prizes, which someday soon we may, you would win a pair of reading glasses with a 20X magnifying level. Then, perhaps, you’d see the signs telling you to leave your dog at home. Until then, we can only hope that someone shares with you the knowledge that putting your pooch in a shopping cart — where normal people put food — isn’t just against the law, it’s rude. It’s Boca Rudeton.

We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons, above. Share your thoughts about this woman and her dog, below. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC. Rude people with dogs in places were food is sold is a trademark or South Palm Beach County.

  1. I LOVE SEEING THE RUDE PEOPLE WITH THEIR PETS BEING DOCUMENTED HERE. HOWEVER, YOU SEEM TO PICK ON NEW YORKERS. IF YOU GO TO NEW YORK – YOU WILL NEVER SEE A PERSON IN A SUPERMARKET OR RESTAURANT WITH A DOG. THEY JUST DON’T DO IT THERE. NEW YORK HAS ENOUGH PROBLEMS – DON’T BASH THEM PLEASE. I OFTEN VISIT THERE AND HAVE NEVER SEEN A DOG WHERE THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED. THANK YOU. HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY!

  2. You are correct that several Publix stores look like “dog parks” and make absolutely no effort to enforce the “No Dogs Allowed” rule. We went to Publix in Canyon Town Center in West Boynton Beach yesterday and saw 2 dogs. The Manager does nothing!

  3. White Old Nasty Tourists (WONT) follow the rules.
‘Tis The Season here in SoFlo! They behave like 5yo children disobeying the rules, only to get caught and shout, “Sorry, I didn’t know!”

  4. More importantly, as per the regulations, pets are not allowed to be inside the shopping cart. That goes against all state food hygiene regulations. It’s one thing to have the pet walking besides you, but imagine it sitting in the cart that people use to place food in? Nothing against dogs.

  5. Hey JOSEPH’S CLASSIC MARKET in Boca Raton : When will you get the memo that NO ONE wants dirty, disgusting,
disease-laden, germ-filled, hair-shedding #DOGS in specialty food markets ? Multiple JCM Boca Store employees saw
a highly mobile, entitled middle-aged Boca Brat female walking around your store last week with her dirty dog in tow,
and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT. The “No Dog” Sign at your door will not cut for these crazed MAGA types !
ENFORCEMENT is absolutely needed – Will not be back soon. #BoycottJosephsClassicMarkets #NoDogsInStores
