DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An overturned car at the entrance to “The Bridges” on Lyons Road in Delray Beach is leading to not just a crash investigation, but a police investigation as well. BocaNewsNow.com has learned PBSO is investigating multiple elements of the crash that occurred around 12:45 p.m.
While we are awaiting an official statement from PBSO, BocaNewsNow.com obtained this statement from management of “The Bridges” which is a community of million-dollar homes across from Seven Bridges and just south of Mizner Country Club.
“Please be advised that we have been informed that there was an accident at the entrance of the community that is affecting the ability for residents to enter and even leave the community. Traffic is being controlled by PBSO, not the HOA. They expect to have the cars towed very shortly. We will update the community when that happens.”
No arrests have apparently been made, according to sources. While the cause of the crash is under investigation, speeding on Lyons Road — which has been under an expansion project for two years — continues to be an issue. Vehicles also routinely leave “The Bridges” with completely disgreard for traffic legally exiting “Seven Bridges,” as well as traffic apparoching from the North and South.
