BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — That huge police response to the Target at U.S. 441 and Palmetto Park Road Thursday morning was ultimately nothing, but a significant show of just how fast police respond to the report of a potentially major incident.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that dispatch received the report of a huge fight involving a large group at Target. More than ten police units responded to the scene and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue stood by at a nearby location.

PBSO Deputies arrived on the scene and ultimately determined the report was “unfounded.”

Eyewitnesses report a strategic, well-executed response by PBSO which was on the scene within moments of the 911 call being received. It was not immediately clear if there was actually a small altercation that ultimately resolved, or if the call was completely bogus. No arrests were reported.
